What does a year of marketing support look like?
Well it depends on your membership level but generally the first step is to set up your listing with photos, links and info so that you start appearing in our searches. Classic and Featured members can then begin submitting blog articles that we will publish for you. Google loves reading about your business remember! Throughout the year you can join in on certain online events, watching some training videos, enter awards and other promotions. Collect reviews on your listing and get rewarded for reaching milestones. We’ll post about you on our socials and in feature blogs too depending on what you signed up for. We also email our database of 20,000+ Australian consumers for certain promos and events. There’s a lot included but not TOO much – we’re here to help, not overwhelm you! What kind of online marketing events can I join in on?
Each year some events stay the same and others are new. Our Review & Win comp is live every month – a chance for your customers to win a prize just by leaving you a review. We always count down the Top 100 listings every November and give out other business awards too! Then we mix it up a bit with online tag & share competitions, lead generation events, basically whatever we can think of to put your products in front of new customers. Featured members are included in all events. Classic just a few. Basic listings don’t include any promotion except for a searchable listing.
How does Miss Directory help me get found on Google?
The best way to move up the Google rankings and get found in more searches is to improve your SEO (search engine optimisation). To do that you need reputable sites to write about you and link to your website. So that’s what we do! Backlinks are your friend and will win you serious Google brownie points so we include them in your listing page and any blogs we write about you.
Can I still list my business if I don't identify as a woman?
No, sorry. Miss Directory is designed exclusively to promote businesses that are predominantly female owned and/or operated so if you identify as a woman, you are welcome to list here. We do however promote anyone on our other site, Find A Photographer Pro which is obviously just for professional photographers.
Can I list my business if I'm not located in Australia?
Not at this stage. We’re just focusing on Aussie businesses for now at Miss Directory. Keep checking back through because we would love to expand to other regions one day! Professional photographers worldwide can list on our other site, Find A Photographer Pro.
Can I cancel my yearly subscription at any time?
Of course! Remember we are an ANNUAL subscription service so you will only be charged once a year. But you can make any changes you like to your subscription such as moving membership levesl or cancelling by logging into your account.
We know how precious your marketing dollars are and we don’t want you to waste them! If you decide this platform isn’t right for you, we will refund your subscription within the first 30 days – no questions asked.

I’ve been working in the world of marketing for over 25 years now – mostly supporting small businesses and women who love to get in and give it a go. It’s definitely my passion! I grew up in an entrepreurial family. My mum never had a job – she always ran her own thing. I’m proud that I now have 2 young trainees working with me (one being my teenage daughter) who themselves are looking to enter the world of business during their careers. They also help keep me on top of what’s hot and what’s not online these days which is a major relief for this middle-aged mum.
For many women, myself included, the hustle of life is hella hectic which can make running your own venture a challenge. I have 2 wonderful Autistic kids of my own, 2 adorable kin kids living with me in foster care, 2 needy dogs and a tradie husband who all keep things very, very real. My goal is that the Miss Directory platform is an affordable option for those who need help with their marketing so that more women can become financially independent, successful, able to live life on their own terms and just simply, happier – whatever that looks like for you.
