At Memories by Menzies Photography, I understand that we all have different visions and beliefs, and so I collaborate with my clients to include their views, culture, and religion to provide the most personalised package.
As a mother myself, safety is at the center of all I do. I am trained in newborn and infant first aid, fully immunised and regularly update and undertake training to ensure the highest level of safety is maintained during my services. I strive to provide high-quality products and services, which means having high expectations of myself and my product manufactures and showing determination and persistence to be continually improving.
Memories by Menzies Photography is located in Romsey, Victoria and services the Macedon Ranges region including Mitchell and Hume shires. I provide newborn, baby, maternity, family, and milestone photography including paint splash and cake smash sessions.

I highly recommend Kara for baby and family photography! Kara was amazing to work with – from initial enquiry, email correspondence, and the photo session, through to photo gallery and album/frame production. We had a milestone photo session for our 8 month old and Kara was incredibly thoughtful throughout the process. Her friendly and kind approach made us feel very comfortable and relaxed at her home studio, and she was very flexible with our baby’s schedule. We are so happy with the final digital photos and the album and frame we received. When something didn’t look right in our original printed photo album, Kara was quick to raise the concern and come up with a solution; she went above and beyond to provide us with amazing customer service and ensure we were 100% happy with the final products.

I met Kara at the Kilmore pregnancy and birth expo back in 2024, and was blown away with her photography. The vivid colours and soft touches were a nice change to some of the other photography styles I had been seeing. Fast forward two years, and I finally booked a family photoshoot. She made the whole process fun and easy (which is hard to do with a 7 and 3 year old), and her photos did not disappoint! She had some great props to get him smiling during the shoot and had activities ready for him when he needed a break from taking photos! Kara at memories by Menzies did the most beautiful photos of our newborn. From the booking process to the finished products we were supported and never left with question. Being first time parents we had no idea what to expect. When we booked Kara have us a call and explained her process and options for packages – not that we had to decide until after we saw the photos but we knew upfront what different packages or single products cost. Once bubs arrived we emailed Kara to book our date and she was flexible with her time to suit our family. Once at Kara’s on the day of photos she had EVERYTHING: the heat was on so baby was always warm, she had a change table and bottle warmer, wipes in case as new parents we forgot or ran out of there was more nappies than expected. We felt so comfortable because the care she showed moving and wrapping and positioning our new baby was more than we ever expected but were so grateful for. Then came the viewing which we did online, we were showed ALL of the images Kara had taken and she helped us narrow them down to the number of images we were aiming for and what we wanted to spend. Picking the photos was difficult because they were all perfect. We stayed on budget and were able to ask for small changes or fixes to the photos. Then the pics we chose were edited and returned to us in batches as we made payments via our payment plan. We and our extended family adore the photos and am so glad we found Kara! Thank you again ❤️

I had my session with Kara in December and was soooo pleased with my experience. My little man made us both work for some smiles but Kara was so patient (even allowing us to come back for a second session to get the perfect pictures!!) and had many tricks up her sleeve to keep him entertained and engaged throughout the session! As a busy mum we don’t get many photos of ourselves with our children, therefore I am so incredibly grateful for the pictures Kara captured for me! Thankyou so much, we will definitely be back! <3

We booked a photoshoot with Kara for our 5-month old baby as well as a combined shoot with her baby cousin and older cousin. It can be exhausting for mothers getting ready for photos but there was no stress at the shoot because Kara works so well with babies. She helped get them dressed, guided us with poses and created a lovely and energetic atmosphere. There was no stress for me as a mum! She asked us what we wanted in terms of colour scheme and look, but I was happy to let her make decisions as I trusted her judgement. We love our photos and it was so much fun capturing some great moments and expressions. Great memories made with lots of laughter. We look forward to booking again in the near future.
